Trustworthy leadership
Trust gives organisations a form of resilience to deal with the extreme volatility and uncertainty that crises bring, as demonstrated recently by the COVID-19 pandemic. But how are key institutions and their leaders doing now?
We’re delighted to have Professor Veronica Hope Hailey in our team, bringing her wealth of experience to lead our research. She was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS) in 2019, has had a distinguished career as a senior academic, and has considerable experience as a senior leader within the university sector, having been dean and vice president at the University of Bath. Among her extensive industry experience, she has consulted to multinational corporations and international organisations such as the IMF, the UN and the World Bank, as well as advising major national organisations within the UK.
She authored numerous reports during the pandemic, analysing data on trust in the workplace from more than 3,000 employees and numerous industry partner organisations including Arup, BAE Systems, Bank of England, British Heart Foundation, Capita, Dassault Systèmes, Day Lewis Pharmacy, Dorchester Collection, Edinburgh City Council, Financial Conduct Authority, Handelsbanken, Hertfordshire County Council, John Lewis Partnership, Microsoft, Nationwide, Northumberland County Council, Rank Group, Severn Trent, South Wales Police and Tate & Lyle.
