Responsible leadership as a movement

This research, overseen by Professor John Gosling, looks back at the impact of the first five years’ work of the Forward Institute.

Responsible leadership as a movement

We published a report on our findings in 2022 with the help of distinguished responsible leadership experts, who asked those involved with the Forward Institute – Fellows, faculty, sponsors and members – what they’d learnt and how they’d contributed to a worldwide movement for responsible leadership, and how they might enhance the Institute’s mission over the next five years.

As a lead and founding faculty member of the Forward Institute, and a world-class leadership expert, Professor Gosling was perfectly positioned to lead on this work. He’s currently emeritus professor of leadership at Exeter Business School and holds visiting professor positions around the world including at Renmin University of China, Ashridge College and University of Auckland. In 2021, Professor Gosling received the International Leadership Association (ILA) Lifetime Achievement Award.
