For principles to have meaning they need to manifest in behaviours and actions. We have identified four practices that embody our principles of responsible leadership, which are taught and fostered during the Fellowship programme.
These four practices are: Observing and listening, working generously, reflecting more and taking action.
A responsible leader practices:
Observing & listening
They observe and listen deeply to their team, their peers, their seniors and to wider groups of people outside their sphere of influence.
They collaborate, overcomes divides and build alliances and offer their help without expecting anything in return.
They proactively experiment, make choices and act. They actively strive to influence those around them for positive, considered outcomes.
They take the process of reflection seriously and reflect often as an individual. They also encourage others to reflect and foster collective reflection.
